DeNel (or, DiDi, as she’s known to those of us at Pura) is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher with 500+ hours of training. She’s known for her fun, but equally safe, classes that draw on both the Ashtanga and Iyengar traditions. She also holds a certificate in the Detour Yoga method. DiDi is careful to work with each of her students so that they can individually find new levels of movement and contentment.

Our studio is located above the beautiful Shanti Spa in El Alquimista in Zipolite. Zipolite is on the South Pacific Coast of Mexico, halfway between Huatulco and Puerto Escondido. This coastline is known for its natural beauty, authentic feel and laid-back style. Enjoy yoga with the ocean breeze and listening to the waves, a sunset walk and dinner on the beach, a stroll through the main street, El Adoquin, in the evening shopping for hand-made crafts.

PURA YOGA ZIPOLITE: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: I’ve had the privilege of spending winters in this town for many, many years now. Apart from its incredible beach, I come for the yoga at Pura Yoga….focus on alignment, restorative yoga, traditional Hatha, some somatic yoga and a mix of all of the above. I see it as a long yoga retreat! The instructors are uber knowledgeable with hundreds of hours of teaching experience. They are happy to share their practice wth their students. I like that they are very attentive to individual needs. Although different in teaching approaches, they compliment each other. My practice has improved leaps and bounds because of them. It’s likely one of the loveliest studio’s that I’ve practiced in. Imagine practicing yoga with the sound of the surf and the twitter of birds in the background. Not to be missed if you’re in this part of the world!
